Security Council Presidential Statements: Haiti

A presidential statement carries the agreement of all fifteen members without being a resolution, so the Council uses it to mark a position between resolutions: endorsing an election timetable, welcoming a transition, or pressing a point the members will not put to a vote. Each is one or two pages.

Resolutions are a different instrument and sit in UN Security Council Resolutions on Haiti; the debates are in UN Security Council meeting records on Haiti.
