Each number opens with an editorial, carries thematic chapters and closes with a national indicator table, sourced from the SPECTRUM estimates and projections run with UNAIDS and from program data on the MESI platform.

The standing rows are people and children living with HIV, new infections, incidence, AIDS deaths, adult and key-population prevalence, antiretroviral coverage, patients on treatment and the facilities offering testing, mother-to-child prevention and antiretrovirals.

The chapters cover case notification through SALVH, retention, tuberculosis co-infection, the mother-to-child cascade, tracing, self-testing, pre-exposure prophylaxis and financing.
