Hurricane Matthew Post-Disaster Needs Assessment

The consolidated report gives the damage, loss and recovery cost figures most often cited. It rests on the sector volumes, where the underlying estimates are set out. Each volume was prepared and approved by the line ministry responsible for the sector, from MARNDR for agriculture to DINEPA for water and sanitation, UCLBP for housing and MCFDF for the gender assessment, and each was published unedited with a notice that any divergence from the consolidated report is unintentional.

The volumes answer how a sector arrived at its number. Read them with the PRRNU communal recovery plans that translated the assessment into municipal planning in the Grand'Anse.
