Each volume prints the rulings of the Tribunal de cassation in full, in civil, criminal and urgent matters, each headed by the point of law decided. The series is the primary record of how Haiti's highest court decided contract enforcement, the execution of judgments and property claims. Publication was private at first, then fell to a sitting judge with the Justice Department's authorisation, and later to the state printer. Coverage is uneven: the volumes overlap, a title year and the dated audiences inside often differ, and one long gap is a gap in publication and not in adjudication.
