Annuaire de législation haïtienne: general table of contents, 1904 to 1913
- The index covers 1904 to 1913, the first ten volumes of the series.
- The 1905 entries alone name the nickel disposal law, the Treasury service resumed from the Banque Nationale, the railway company's constitution, the customs law and the opening of Môle Saint-Nicolas to foreign commerce.
- It doubles as a chronological inventory: which years carried customs reform, monetary measures or concessions can be read without opening a volume.
- An entry records a duty of 2.75 dollars per hundred pounds levied in 1906.
The general table of contents to the Annuaire de législation haïtienne for the years 1904 to 1913, published by Me E. Mathon.
The entries are the shape of the decade's legislation. For 1905 alone the index lists the law authorising the government to dispose of the million gourdes in nickel pieces, the notice of the Secretary of State for Finance resuming the Treasury service from the Banque Nationale, the arrêté approving the constitution of the Société anonyme des chemins de fer d'Haïti, the law regularising the expenditure of 1904-1905, the customs law, the law on direct taxation for 1905-1906, the budget laws for 1905-1906, the law regulating the procedure for obtaining duplicate titles to the internal debt, the law amending article 10 of the law of 17 October 1881 on the sale of stamps, and the law opening the port of Môle Saint-Nicolas to foreign commerce. For 1906 it lists the arrêté establishing adhesive stamps under the law of 18 August 1903, the external postal tariff, and a law levying a duty of 2.75 dollars per hundred pounds.
An index of this kind is the practical entry point to ten volumes of dense law, and it also stands alone as a chronological inventory: a reader can see in one place which years carried customs reform, which carried monetary measures and which carried concessions, before opening any volume.
