Full Description
The Bulletin des lois et actes is the official compilation of Haitian legislation, printed by the state as the Edition officielle of the Departement de la Justice. Each volume gathers the laws, decrees, arretes and contracts of a year in the order they were issued.
The volume for 1891, and the last of the nineteenth-century run the archive holds.
Schools and customs lead the subject profile. The series then breaks: the archive holds nothing between this volume and 1916, a gap of twenty-four years that covers the whole of the pre-occupation republic's final phase.
