Arrêté completing the Provisional Electoral Council and amending article 6 of the arrêté of 18 September 2024 (Le Moniteur, Special No. 65)

The arrêté completing the Conseil Électoral Provisoire and amending article 6 of the arrêté of September 2024 that appointed seven of its nine members, issued by the Transitional Presidential Council and published in Le Moniteur, Special No. 65. The earlier arrêté had provided that the Council would be completed once the human-rights organizations and the women's-rights associations designated their representatives; those bodies having made their designations, this arrêté appoints the two remaining members: Rose Thés Magale Gros as representative of the human-rights organizations and Yves Marie Damon as representative of the women's-rights associations.

It also amends article 6 of the September arrêté. With this act the CEP reaches its full complement of nine, which matters beyond the appointments themselves: under the electoral decrees the Council's board of directors decides validly only with at least six members present and takes decisions by a majority of five, so a complete Council is a precondition for the decisions that drive the electoral calendar.
