This annex to the Action Plan for National Recovery and Development of Haiti details the Post-Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) conducted after the devastating earthquake of January 12, 2010. The assessment, carried out with the support of the UN, IDB, ECLAC, World Bank, and European Commission, evaluates the extensive damage and losses across various sectors including governance, environment, disaster risk management, social sectors, infrastructure, and production. It outlines short-term rehabilitation needs and long-term reconstruction requirements, providing costed assessments for each sector and cross-cutting themes like youth, gender, and vulnerable populations. The report aims to inform a national strategic development plan to rebuild Haiti and address the profound socio-economic impacts of the disaster.
