This report is a commune-scale natural-hazard assessment for Croix-des-Bouquets, including the rapidly urbanizing areas of Canaan, Jerusalem and Onanville. Prepared through Oxfam GB's risk-management work with Haitian technical institutions, it treats hazard knowledge as an input to territorial planning. The methodology combines field observations, geological and seismic information, community surveys, visits with communal-section officials and digital mapping. The hazards considered are earthquakes, flooding, landslides, deforestation and cyclones. The annex list shows the practical outputs: geological maps, seismic microzonation and resonance-frequency maps, hydrological-hazard maps for the Plaine du Cul-de-Sac and Canaan, landslide-hazard maps, vegetation-density maps, GIS layers and technical appendices. For HaitiDocs, the value is that it adds a metropolitan commune risk-planning document for Croix-des-Bouquets, a place whose post-earthquake growth and exposure make hazard-informed urban management especially important.
