- Screened under OP 4.01 and Haiti's 2005 framework environmental decree.
The sheet identifies the environmental and social impacts of works on the Guerrier rural drinking-water system (SAEP) in the Nord-Ouest and proposes mitigation measures, as the World Bank's operational policy on environmental assessment (OP 4.01) and Haiti's 2005 framework environmental decree require. It sits in DINEPA's EPARD safeguards set, one sheet for each rural system in the program.
The works are repair of the intake box with a protective low wall, reconstruction or repair of the reservoir, fencing of the intake (60 m) and the reservoir (40 m), leak repair, six 2-inch valves, two 4-inch valves and two air valves. The sheet finds environmental impacts minor but to be mitigated without condition. It also carries a legal and institutional framework, a monitoring plan and environmental clauses, which makes it longer than the others in the set. The environmental budget is US$3,000. The World Bank specialists gave their non-objection on December 14, 2018.
