- Works: rehabilitation of the intake, 2,500 m of HDPE pipe (500 m of 75 mm and 2,000 m of 63 mm), repair of the reservoir, repair of fifteen leaks, four 2-inch valves and two air valves.
- No new construction or land donation; viable on environmental and social grounds.
- World Bank non-objection given March 29, 2019.
- Prepared under the EPARD rural water and sanitation program, financed by the World Bank.
- Screened under OP 4.01 and Haiti's 2005 framework environmental decree.
The sheet identifies the environmental and social impacts of works on the Dubois rural drinking-water system (SAEP) in the Nord-Ouest and proposes mitigation measures, as the World Bank's operational policy on environmental assessment (OP 4.01) and Haiti's 2005 framework environmental decree require. It sits in DINEPA's EPARD safeguards set, one sheet for each rural system in the program.
The works are rehabilitation of the intake, 2,500 m of HDPE pipe (500 m of 75 mm and 2,000 m of 63 mm), repair of the reservoir, repair of fifteen leaks, four 2-inch valves and two air valves. No new construction or land donation is involved. The sheet concludes the rehabilitation is viable on environmental and social grounds and should reduce waterborne disease. The environmental budget is US$2,000. The World Bank specialists gave their non-objection on March 29, 2019.
