The Great March of the National Cadastre Begins at Camp-Perrin
- A narrative account of the 9 July 2016 Rollin ceremony, complementing the brief institutional note on the same event.
- The title frames a local handover as the beginning of a national cadastre.
- The only Word-format document in the CIAT set, ingested natively rather than converted.
This is the same event as the short institutional note held alongside it, told at length and in a different register. It begins with the sky heavy with grey cloud shortly before noon on Saturday 9 July 2016, traces of the previous day's showers still visible on a property at Rollin, a neighborhood of Camp-Perrin in southern Haiti. Writing a cadastral handover this way is a choice: the title claims a national beginning, and the prose puts the reader on the plot rather than in the program document, which is how an administrative act becomes something a reader can picture. For the library its use is complementary to the institutional record. The brief note fixes the facts, the date and the count; this one preserves how the state chose to narrate the moment, and it is also the only Word-format document in the CIAT set, ingested in its original form.
