UNMIH - Report of the Secretary-General on the United Nations Mission in Haiti, Addendum: financial implications of UNSMIH (S/1996/416/Add.1)
- UNSMIH estimated at $37.1 million for July 1 to December 31, 1996.
- Largest lines: civilian personnel $13.85 million, military personnel $11.25 million.
- Replaced on June 27 by the five-month revision (Rev.1).
The addendum fulfils the promise in paragraph 28 of the main report (S/1996/416) to give the financial implications of the proposed mission. It estimates $37.1 million for six months, July 1 to December 31, 1996. The annex lists 19 lines; the largest are civilian personnel ($13.85 million) and military personnel ($11.25 million). The Secretary-General would recommend that the General Assembly treat the cost as an expense of the Organization under Article 17, paragraph 2 of the Charter, credited to a special account. It was superseded three days later by the revision S/1996/416/Add.1/Rev.1.
