- Covers 1804-1808 in 570 pages, in chronological order.
- Compiled by S. Linstant in the Collection Linstant Pradine, and from Tome VII published by decision of the Conseil des Secrétaires d'État.

- This volume carries the acts of independence and the first state: Dessalines's proclamations, the 1805 and 1806 constitutions, and the founding administrative and military acts of the new republic and of Christophe's north.
- It is a primary source for instruments that later Haitian codes and decrees cite without reproducing.
