Labour Code of Haiti

Summary: Haiti's Labour Code as updated by the law of 5 June 2003 and the decree of 24 February 1984, both amending the code of 12 September 1961. It governs the employment contract, working hours, wages, leave, dismissal, apprenticeship, occupational health and safety, trade unions and collective bargaining, and the labour courts. This is the instrument the Better Work compliance assessments of Haiti's apparel factories are measured against.
