CEP/DC/078-2526: Updating the electoral calendar, the CEP consults political actors and civil society

The consultations follow the recent changes to the electoral decree that put in place the decree of 6 October 2026. In the sessions, the CEP president and council members presented the context and stakes, and sought the views of the actors on the outlook for the electoral process. Several political formations that have registered members and submitted candidacies took part. The council says it will continue consulting political and civil society actors to examine the options and gather proposals for an updated calendar that takes account of constraints of all kinds.
