Description
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to ensure safe and orderly migration by strengthening border management capacities of Haiti. Strengthened border management capacities will in turn also improve internal security as the gangs operating in Haiti rely on illicit cross-border activities; Strengthened border management will be achieved through the provision of key technical equipment to the border police POLIFRONT, the reinforcement of staff capacity of POLIFRONT, the improvement of infrastructure at the border and capacity building for POLIFRONT to make border management more responsive to the needs of different groups among migrants and the local population. The immediate beneficiary are migrants who are subject to border controls as well as POLIFRONT staff. Indirectly the project will benefit
