Emergency Structural Assessment in August 2021 Earthquake Affected Areas

US$ millions unless stated. Haitian fiscal year, October to September. FY2026-27 began October 1, 2026.

Description

Through this intervention, IOM aims to contribute to a coordinated shelter response by conducting an emergency structural evaluation of buildings and infrastructures in the areas affected by the 14 August 2021 earthquake. Building up on previous experiences of post-earthquake response in the country, this project offers an evaluation report of the structural damage in the affected areas to be disseminated among shelter/non-food item sector partners, significantly contributing to a better coordinated response. In addition, this project will promote sustainable and safe rehabilitating through build back safer campaigns and the promotion of own driven approach.
