Description

In Haiti, ICSP support in 2025 focused on sustaining lifesaving WASH services for 23,169 people amid widespread insecurity, displacement and cholera‑related risks. GOAL worked with local water committees and municipal actors to maintain safe‑water access, desludging, sanitation and hygiene promotion in areas where public systems could no longer function. Partnerships with civil‑protection structures, fisher associations and the Start Network enhanced community readiness for flooding, marine hazards and sanitation emergencies, enabling faster mobilisation and more coordinated, locally led actions during crises.. As Haiti is increasingly exposed to climate‑driven flooding, storm surges and waterborne disease outbreaks, ICSP prioritises early warning systems and climate‑resilient WASH infrastructure, delivered through strong partnerships with civil‑protection and local authorities, to ensure communities receive rapid, reliable and coordinated humanitarian support when climate shocks occur.
