Description

Plan International Sweden has applied for funding from Sida for a 5-year programme + 6 months + another 9 months to be implemented during the period 1 July 2019 - 30 September 2025. The program is supported from the strategy for support to Swedish organisations within the civil society, 2016-2023, and the following CSO strategy 2024, and the CSO strategy 2025-2029. The total budget for the program Generation Change! is 833 866 487 SEK and includes the applied amount from Sida - 753 994 322 SEK. Plan Sweden contributes with 10%. The overall goal is: "A vibrant, dynamic and inclusive civil society, contributing to the fulfilment of children's and young people's rights and equality for girls in all contexts". Three

main expected outcome areas: 1. Individuals and groups have strengthened knowledge, attitudes and behaviours on children’s and young people's rights and gender equality 2. Civil society, particularly child and youth led collective actions, have strengthened legitimacy and diversity, enhanced space and influence, and improved collaboration within civil society and with duty bearers 3. Duty bearers have strengthened policy, systems and services affecting children's rights in response to the engagement and advocacy of civic actors. Geographical coverage has diminished during the period. The programme Generation Change! is to be implemented between during 2025 in the following countries: Bangladesh, Benin, Bolivia, Colombia, Guatemala, Rwanda, TImor Leste, Togo, Zambia, Myanmar, Guatemala, and Colombia. The main focus areas are: - Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights - Child protection - Participation and governance
