The Strengthening Agriculture Public Services Project (RESEPAG) in Haiti, supported by the World Bank's Global Food Response Program, aimed to enhance the capacity of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development (MARNDR) to prioritize and target investments according to sector policies, and to improve local agriculture support services. The project focused on strengthening MARNDR's managerial functions through improved sector policies, coordination, administrative, human resources, and fiduciary management. It also aimed to strengthen farmer extension and support services in pilot areas by providing technical assistance, training, and incentives for adopting improved agricultural technologies. The project experienced restructuring due to the 2010 earthquake and aimed to build a foundation for sustainable agricultural development in Haiti.
