- Three ONA employees, a police officer and an OFATMA employee are named in a trafficking case investigated since April 2022.
- Two detailed police reports were sent to the judicial authorities for follow-up.
- The network asks that everyone involved be brought before a court.
- It asks that the whole staff of the Port-au-Prince prosecutor's office be certified, given the continuous complaints against it.
The Direction Centrale de la Police Judiciaire has been investigating since April 2022 a case of arms and ammunition trafficking in which three employees of the Office National d'Assurance Vieillesse, an officer of the national police and an employee of the Office d'Assurance Accidents du Travail, Maladie et Maternité are named. The judicial authorities were sent two detailed police reports for follow-up. The network sets out what the police established and then asks what the courts did with it.
Its recommendations are that the investigation be pursued and everyone involved brought before a court, and that the acting justice minister act on the recommendations of the Conseil Supérieur du Pouvoir Judiciaire concerning uncertified magistrates and begin certifying the entire staff of the prosecutor's office at the Port-au-Prince court of first instance, which is the subject of continuous complaints from those who have to use it.
