National Health Adaptation Plan of Haiti (PNAS)
- The plan is the health sector's component of Haiti's National Adaptation Plan process.
- Its climate baseline uses historical temperature data for 1985 to 2014 against projections for 2051 to 2080 under the SSP5-8.5 scenario of the GFDL model in CMIP6.
- It constructs a health vulnerability index by extreme climate hazard.
- It sets out coordination and governance arrangements for the plan.
- Its monitoring and evaluation logical framework is adapted from OECD, GIZ and TAMD work of 2014.
- The document is dated August 2025 and was posted in February 2026.
The National Health Adaptation Plan of Haiti, prepared by the Ministry of Public Health and Population with technical and financial support, dated August 2025 and published on the ministry's site in February 2026.
The plan positions health within the wider National Adaptation Plan process and within national health planning, and its opening cartography sets out the spatial distribution of temperatures in Haiti using historical data for 1985 to 2014 against projections for 2051 to 2080 under the SSP5-8.5 scenario of the GFDL model in CMIP6. It then builds a health vulnerability index by extreme climate hazard, sets out the coordination and governance arrangements for the plan, and closes with a logical framework for monitoring and evaluation adapted from the OECD, GIZ and TAMD work of 2014.
It is the health sector's answer to the 2019 national climate policy and the 2006 adaptation programme, both of which the corpus now holds.
