Minimum Competencies Programme: 9th Year of Fundamental Education

MENFP's Direction de l'Enseignement Fondamental issued this 9th-year program in November 2019, alongside an adjusted school calendar, for the resumption of classes in 2019-2020. The foreword says the crisis of the preceding months affected institutions in every department, district and school zone. The program keeps only the essential objectives for the grade and spreads the rest over the pupil's later schooling. It is laid out as week-by-week tables from December 2019 to June 2020, giving for each week the theme, general and specific objectives, content and the page reference in the detailed program, with revision weeks, tests and final exams. Seven subjects are covered: mathematics, experimental sciences, English, Spanish, French communication, Creole and social sciences. The minister states that these documents do not replace the global objectives of the official programs in force since March 1989.
