Notice Fixing Pump Prices for Petroleum Products
- Gazoline 95 at 560 gourdes, gasoil at 620 gourdes, kerosene at 615 gourdes per gallon.
- Signed 14 July 2023, effective 20 July 2023.
- Numbered 001 for fiscal year 2022-23 despite being dated nine months into that year, evidence that pump prices were adjusted rarely rather than on a cycle.
- Cites no Conseil Consultatif recommendation, unlike the 2026 notices.
- These prices remained in force until the April 2026 notice.
Notice N° 22/23-001, signed on 14 July 2023 by the Minister of Economy and Finance (Michel Patrick Boisvert) and the Minister of Commerce and Industry (Ricardin Saint-Jean), informs the public, importers, distributors and consumers of the petroleum-product prices in force nationwide. The three regulated products are gazoline 95 at 560 gourdes, gasoil at 620 gourdes and kerosene at 615 gourdes per gallon, and the notice took effect on 20 July 2023. It is the reference for the July 2023 observation in the fuel_pump_prices series. Two features are worth noting. First, unlike the 2026 notices, this one cites no Conseil Consultatif recommendation, so the pricing decision is presented as ministerial. Second, it is numbered 001 for fiscal year 2022-23 yet dated July 2023, nine months into that fiscal year, which is direct evidence that administered pump prices were left unchanged for extended periods rather than adjusted on a regular cycle. The prices it sets are marginally below those that followed the September 2022 subsidy removal, and they then remained in force until the April 2026 notice.
