Key Findings
Full Description

This is the final October 2009 version of the update to Haiti's National Food and Nutrition Security Plan, produced by MARNDR through the Coordination Nationale de la Sécurité Alimentaire. It sets out the context and justification for the update and the methodology used, then diagnoses the sectors bearing on food security: the state of food insecurity itself, followed by axis-by-axis diagnoses of agriculture, environment, food-crisis management and social protection, and employment, the cooperative movement and financial services. Issued in the year after the 2008 food-price riots and before the 2010 earthquake, it is the standing national food-security framework of that period and the policy backdrop to the CNSA bulletins and food-basket series.
