Report on the Situation of Human Rights in Haiti (1994)
- Its OAS symbol is OEA/Ser.L/V/II.85, Doc. 9 rev., 11 February 1994, which identifies it across languages and hosts.
- It was published as HTML and never as a file, so it was absent from document collections that store files.
- It belongs to a run of eight reports from 1969 to 2022, and the run makes any single edition comparable.
Written during the de facto government installed by the coup of 29 September 1991, at a point when the Commission was reporting on Haiti every year and was repeatedly asked to do so by the Permanent Council and the Meeting of Consultation of Ministers of Foreign Affairs.
The Commission has reported on Haiti since 1968 and this is one of eight country reports in that run, which is the longest continuous external human rights assessment of Haiti by a regional body. The symbols for the whole series are listed in footnote 22 of the 2022 report.
Published as multi-page HTML under cidh.oas.org/countryrep/, one file per chapter, with no PDF edition. Reassembled into one document with scripts/corpus/assemble_cidh_html_report.py, which takes the chapters in the order the index lists them.
