Full Description

A training guide for civic educators, produced out of the awareness campaign the Provisional Electoral Council ran with UNDP between August and October 2015. It is written for educators who have already completed the training and need something to work from in the field, so it teaches how to explain an election rather than presenting an argument about one.

The guide covers the civic content an educator has to convey: what the institutions are and what each one does, how registration and voting work in practice, what a ballot requires to be valid, and the rights and obligations of a voter. It is a UNDP-supported CEP publication, and it carries the standard disclaimer that the views are the authors' rather than those of the United Nations.
