Description
This RBSA-funded intervention aims at generating productive employment and promoting decent work for youth in Haiti. Tripartite partners are capacitated to design, through dialogue, a national action plan for youth employment, and competent national institutions are supported to develop a vocational training programme and a pilot programme to generate green jobs for youth in Port-au-Prince. The intervention strategy is guided by the Transition from the Informal to the Formal Economy Recommendation, 2015 (No. 204), the Employment and Decent Work for Peace and Resilience Recommendation, 2017 (No. 205), the Employment Policy Convention, 1964 (No. 122), and the Resolution “The youth employment crisis: A call for action” adopted by the International Labour Conference in 2012. This intervention contributes to the country’s efforts
