Syndromic reporting came from 697 sentinel sites through the MESI system. The virological panel is headed etiologic surveillance with no site count given. Sentinel sites reported 12,271 influenza-like illness cases during the week. The heaviest reporting department was Ouest (n=2,421), 20% of the national total. Leading communes: Croix-des-Bouquets 15.74% (381), Carrefour 15.24% (369) and Delmas 15.20% (368) in Ouest, together 46.18% of the Ouest total. Influenza detections for the week split 90.32% influenza A and 9.68% influenza B. Sample counts and weekly positivity appear only as unlabelled chart series, so no figure for them is recorded here.
