Syndromic reporting came from 690 sentinel sites through the MESI system. The virological panel is headed etiologic surveillance with no site count given. Sentinel sites reported 248,290 influenza-like illness cases across 2021. The heaviest reporting department was Ouest (n=58,942), Sud (n=33,856) and Centre (n=32,915), together half the national total. Leading communes: Croix-des-Bouquets 25.86% (15,244), Delmas 14.45% (8,517) and Carrefour 13.77% (8,117) in Ouest, together 54% of the Ouest total. Influenza detections for the year to date split 4.72% influenza A and 95.28% influenza B. Sample counts and weekly positivity appear only as unlabelled chart series, so no figure for them is recorded here.
