Syndromic reporting came from 687 sentinel sites through the MESI system. The virological panel is headed etiologic surveillance with no site count given. Sentinel sites reported 59,785 influenza-like illness cases from week 1 to week 11 of 2021. The heaviest reporting department was Ouest (n=14,637). Leading communes: Croix-des-Bouquets 27.57% (4,036) and Delmas 13.42% (1,964) in Ouest. Every influenza detection reported for the year to date was influenza B, and the subtype chart shows the Victoria lineage. Age distribution of positive cases: 0-4 years 54.8%, 5-24 years 35.7%, 25-49 years 4.8%, 50-64 years 2.4% and 65 years and over 2.4%. Sample counts and weekly positivity appear only as unlabelled chart series, so no figure for them is recorded here.
