Syndromic reporting came from 687 sentinel sites through the MESI system. The virological panel is headed etiologic surveillance with no site count given. Sentinel sites reported 54,458 influenza-like illness cases from week 1 to week 10 of 2021. The heaviest reporting department was Ouest (n=13,339). Leading communes: Croix-des-Bouquets 27.11% (3,616) and Carrefour 13.28% (1,772) in Ouest. Every influenza detection reported for the year to date was influenza B, and the subtype chart shows the Victoria lineage. Age distribution of positive cases: 0-4 years 55.0%, 5-24 years 35.0%, 25-49 years 5.0%, 50-64 years 2.5% and 65 years and over 2.5%. Sample counts and weekly positivity appear only as unlabelled chart series, so no figure for them is recorded here.
