Syndromic reporting came from 690 sentinel sites through the MESI system, and virological testing from 7 etiologic surveillance sites. The issue carries no case count of its own. Every influenza detection reported for the year to date was influenza B, and the subtype chart shows the Victoria lineage. Age distribution of positive cases: 0-4 years 66.7% and 25-49 years 33.3%. Sample counts and weekly positivity appear only as unlabelled chart series, so no figure for them is recorded here.
