This issue of the weekly report from the Direction d'Épidémiologie, de Laboratoire et de la Recherche (DELR) covers epidemiological week 42 of 2019, October 13 to 19, 2019. The network lists 676 sites. National completeness was 77% and promptness was 90%.
The notification table gives 240 immediately notifiable, 9,722 weekly notifiable and 21,136 other new cases for the week, 31,098 in all. Deaths recorded with the week's notifications came to 105: 5 in the immediately notifiable group, 17 in the weekly group and 83 among the other new cases. In the immediately notifiable list, the week counted 70 animal bites with suspected rabies, 4 suspected cholera cases, 156 confirmed malaria cases and 4 maternal deaths.
