This issue of the weekly report from the Direction d'Épidémiologie, de Laboratoire et de la Recherche (DELR) covers epidemiological week 41 of 2019, October 6 to 12, 2019. The network lists 676 sites. National completeness was 74% and promptness was 90%.
The notification table gives 203 immediately notifiable, 8,869 weekly notifiable and 19,423 other new cases for the week, 28,495 in all. Deaths recorded with the week's notifications came to 98: 4 in the immediately notifiable group, 26 in the weekly group and 68 among the other new cases. In the immediately notifiable list, the week counted 62 animal bites with suspected rabies, 1 suspected cholera cases, 136 confirmed malaria cases and 4 maternal deaths.
