This technical note provides a gender diagnostic of the transport sector in Haiti and outlines a Gender Action Plan (GAP) for the Inter-American Development Bank's (IADB) investments. The report assesses gender gaps in education, health, and labor outcomes, and evaluates the success of gender-targeted interventions implemented between 2011 and 2017. The GAP aims to guide IADB investments in Haiti’s transport sector by conceptualizing and designing gender-sensitive operations. It focuses on the needs of women as transport service users, with specific attention to Madan Sara (MS) and local female mango producers and traders (MPT). The report also examines gender interventions in Haiti’s transport sector, including the Women and Men Equality Program (EFH) and the Integration of Gender, HIV/AIDS & First Aid in Reconstruction Campsites Program (IGHFA).
