Haiti Youth Survey 2009, Volume I: Tabulation Report
Summary: Tabulation volume of Fafo's national Haiti Youth Survey, a 2009 follow-up to the Haiti Living Conditions Survey focused on the 10-24 age group.
Key Findings
- Provides the pre-earthquake national baseline on Haitian youth, since fieldwork closed before January 2010.
- Designed as a youth-focused follow-up to the 2001 Haiti Living Conditions Survey, so the two are comparable.
- Reports weighted tables rather than analysis; the analytical reading is in Volume II.
Full Description
The tabulation volume of the Haiti Youth Survey, a national household survey of about 2,000 households carried out by Fafo with the Institut Haitien de l'Enfance as a follow-up to the 2001 Haiti Living Conditions Survey, with a specific focus on youth. It reports weighted tables on education, literacy, work, household economy and migration for the 10-24 age group. Fieldwork was completed before the January 2010 earthquake, so the tables are a pre-earthquake national baseline.
