CEP Resolution on the tabulation of votes in the ASEC and CASEC elections of 29 January 2017

Summary — Because voters in urban zones may vote only for Délégués de Ville, but ASEC and CASEC ballots had been used at voting centres in communal sections extending into urban zones, the CEP resolved to discard the ballots cast in urban-zone polling stations for the ASEC and CASEC elections of 29 January 2017. It relies on article 243 of the electoral decree of 2 March 2015, under which those elections follow the existing territorial division pending a new one.
