CEP Regulations on the Operation of the Vote Tabulation Centre (CTV)

Summary — Nine pages of rules on the Vote Tabulation Centre, adopted under Constitution articles 191 and 191.2, the electoral decree of 2 March 2015 and the arrêté of 29 March 2016. Explicitly aimed at improving the centre's transparency, including how its temporary staff are recruited, and at regulating tabulation, the transmission of results and their consolidation once disputes have been handled. The CTV is defined as a technical directorate of the Council for entering and processing tally sheets, headed by a Director and deputy, whose staff are bound to impartiality, discretion and confidentiality and forbidden to disclose candidates' vote counts.
