Summary: The Bank of the Republic of Haiti's monthly note on inflation for April 2021. It reads the consumer price index published by IHSI and adds the central bank's own analysis: headline inflation month on month and year on year, movement in the main consumption functions, inflation broken down by whether goods are imported or locally produced and by region of the country, core inflation, the factors the bank holds responsible for the month's movement, and its inflation forecast.

- Inflation slowed both annually and monthly, with annual inflation falling from 17.2 percent in March to 16 percent and monthly inflation falling by 20 basis points to 0.9 percent.
- Cumulative monthly inflation from October 2020 to April 2021 was 4.6 percent, compared with 14.6 percent in the same period of FY2019-2020.
- Food and non-alcoholic beverages contributed 76.46 percent of monthly inflation after decelerating by 40 basis points to 0.9 percent.
