Description
(Haiti): The Integrated Health Resilience Activity (IHRA) will implement evidence-based approaches to improve health outcomes in maternal/newborn/child health (MNCH), family planning/reproductive health, nutrition, HIV, and issues related to COVID-19. IHRA will strengthen Haiti's health systems by supporting progress on GOH's health priorities while promoting equity, quality, and resource optimization. It will also provide primary health care services to Haitians in 139 facilities and surrounding communities in six departments (Nord, Nord-Est, Nord-Ouest, Artibonite, Centre, and Ouest). Using FY 2022 funds, interventions will:-Build the capacity of health care providers to consistently provide antenatal, delivery, and postnatal services-Promote antenatal care recommendations through referral and counter-referral mechanisms to and through Mothers' Clubs-Deliver and expand acute malnutrition services plus routine and COVID-19 vaccinations in healthcare

facilities by using "Reaching Every Community" strategies including Rally Post and community-based events-Continue to support the provision of modern family planning methods-In collaboration with the MOH provide integrated supervision and site management that improves facilities' abilities to provide quality services.-Implement water, sanitation, and hygiene strategies in facilities' interventions and-Train site personnel on infection control and prevention, waste management, and chlorine distribution for routine disinfection as part of the COVID-19 response.IHRA's expected results include: 1) Maternal, newborn, child health, nutrition and family planning/reproductive health outcomes improved through provision of quality service delivery; 2) comprehensive HIV services provided in order to achieve epidemic control in Haiti; and 3) improved health systems through the promotion of quality of care, empowerment of communities, data for results and resource optimization. ..
