Description

La Banque Mondiale et le Gouvernement d'Haïti ont conclu un accord global de financement du projet ""Préservation du Patrimoine et Appui au Secteur Touristique (PAST)", afin d'accroître l'attractivité des sites culturels du Nord d'Haïti pour le développement du tourisme et un accroissement des opportunités d'emplois. L'UNESCO assurera l'assistance technique auprès de l'Etat haïtien, dans le cadre de la Convention de 1972, pour le composante du projet portant sur la conservation et la réhabilitation de sites du patrimoine culturel physique et de circuits touristiques dans le Parc National Historique - Citadelle, Sans-Souci, Ramiers et dans le centre historique de la ville du Cap Haïtien.
