Description
The project was developed in partnership with UNDP and UN Women. It's primary objective is to empower the vulnerable communities in the North of Haiti and strengthen national disaster risk reduction mechanisms to mitigate and respond to human insecurities. UNESCO will be responsible of a specific outcome that is included in the third objective. In particular, UNESCO POP will ensure that the extended school community of the departments of the North and North-East of Haiti has a reinforced capacity to address its insecurities and implement tailored disaster prevention and management protocols. UNESCO will carry out its activities during a time frame of 15 months.
