Le projet devrait contribuer en fin de compte a) accro tre la productivite agricole en vue de l'augmentation de l'autosuffisance alimentaire ; b) promouvoir l'agro-industrie dans la perspective d?une augmentation accrue des exportations agricoles ; c) renverser le processus de degradation des terres et promouvoir une gestion durable des ressources naturelles en encourageant des pratiques agricoles appropriees. Pour y parvenir, le projet visera a: 1) augmenter la capacite du Ministere de l'agriculture a court terme pour accroitre l'investissement dansle secteur agricole par la mise disposition de dossiers bancables; 2) au developpement de meilleures pratiques agricoles par l'intermediaire des CEP afin d'ameliorer la productivite et la conservation des sols en introduisant dans les curriculum de nouvelles techniques pour l'agriculture de conservation, etc..
