Description
As part of the World & Pan American Health Organization (WHO/PAHO) Regional project to support countries to strengthen and scale up their MHPSS response capacity, the MHPSS Capacity Building Expert for Haiti will support the two Mental Health coordinators nominated by the Ministry of Health of Haiti to establish a MHPSS coordination mechanism.This project has the following objectives:1. Strengthen national capacities to coordinate and provide quality MHPSS to communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic;2. Develop and adapt communication materials related to MHPSS;3. Strengthen the capacity of health professionals, frontline workers, health managers and decision makers to deliver effective MHPSS responses to the COVID-19 pandemic within and beyond the health system.PAHO will seek partnerships on both operational and technical levels with
more
national and international non-governmental organizations, WHO/PAHO collaborating centres, academia and the Red Cross in order to enhance the project’s impact on populations.
