Description

This project aims to identify the economic opportunities and challenges for Dutch businesses, businesses in developing countries and developing country's national development strategies towards the circular economy. In the short term, this entails organising and coordinating Dutch input for WTO events in the fall of 2019.The output of the project is also an assessment of CE development in conjunction with WTO rules, together with the WTO secretariat, and contributing to discussions on this topic in the Committee on Trade and Environment of WTO.The project will further develop and establish a network of WTO members committed to creating an international circular economy. The results can be used as input for the World Circular Economy Forum 2021, organised in the Netherlands by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management (MinIenW).
