Published title: Combating infectious diseases through improved hygiene, water and sanitation in Haiti

US$ millions unless stated. Haitian fiscal year, October to September. FY2026-27 began October 1, 2026.

Description

The project contributes to improving the health of the population living in the rural regions of the target country. It creates the conditions for improved health for 300 families, contributes to the prevention and reduction of common infectious diseases and cholera and helps 300 families to gain access to drinking water. The health project works with volunteer health workers who are trained and create a structure that can help the population with minor infectious diseases. This also applies to the establishment of mothers and youth clubs, which are intended to raise awareness of nutrition and health among the population on a voluntary basis.
