Description
L’objectif de ce programme est de travailler sur la gestion de bassins versants par une approche de Gestion Intégrée des Ressources en Eau, en particulier en ce qui concerne l’approvisionnement en eau potable, l’utilisation de l’eau pour l’agriculture/irrigation et la protection des bassins versants avec des mesures antiérosives et préservation des ressources naturelles. La Recherche-Action fait partie intégrante des différentes interventions auxquelles nous associons les associations d’usagers en irrigation/eau potable, les artisans organisés, les comités de bassin versant, les autorités déconcentrées, les autorités locales et des Universités haïtiennes et belges. Les actions se concentrent sur le bassin versant de la rivière Moustiques (nord-ouest) et celui de l’Onde Verte (centre). possibles. À Moustiques, le programme est exécuté par le partenaire ODRINO et à Onde Verte par le partenaire ITECA. Join For Water (Protos) appuiera ces organisations non-gouvernamentales au niveau technique, méthodologique/monitoring, organisationnel et financier/administratif. À Moustiques, le comité de bassin versant est considéré comme un partenaire également, vu son rôle prédominant dans la gestion de l’eau. Les principaux résultats préconisés: l’extension du nombre de familles ayant accès à l’eau potable et l’eau agricole, l’amélioration de la gestion de l’eau et l’augmentation des superficies protégées. Pour augmenter la diversification en agriculture et intégrer davantage l’approche de droit et le plaidoyer, nous travaillons en synergie avec Broederlijk Delen dans le centre. Au niveau national, nous continuons notre implication au sein des réseaux dans les domaines de l’irrigation et de l’eau potable.
