The MDGs in Figures
Summary: A compilation by Raulin Lincifort Cadet of the available data on Haiti's Millennium Development Goal indicators, following the national MDG report launched in 2004. It also assesses how far ministries' planning units were able to produce the indicators at all.
Key Findings
- Compiles the data available for Haiti's Millennium Development Goal indicators as they stood in 2004, following the national MDG report launched that year.
- Carries indicators as shares, including the population consuming less than the required caloric ration.
- Assesses how far ministries' planning units were able to produce the data the goals require, so it documents statistical capacity alongside the indicators themselves.
- Compiled by Raulin Lincifort Cadet.
Full Description
The interesting half of this document is not the indicator table but the data availability assessment beside it: it records which MDG indicators Haiti's ministries could actually produce in the mid-2000s and which they could not, which is a statement about the statistical system rather than about development outcomes. The document carries no date on its cover; 2004 is taken from its latest data column and from its reference to the 2004 national MDG report, and should be treated as approximate.
